The Forest Gates Replay Invitation

Updated: Sep 2

ree

A week ago, our circle gathered at the edge of the Forest Gate. You carried yarn and needles and stepped into a realm of fairy tales and fiber magic. Every evening from August 11–15 we gathered in the realm where Fairy Tales meet Fiber Threads.

You practiced casting on, working through cuffs, heels, and toes while diving deeply into the magic of ancient fairy tales and expanding our circle and your personal rituals that bring sprinkles of magic into daily life. Whether you finished a pair of socks or still have a few rows left, the Forest Gate journey does not have to be over just yet.

Relive the Magic

Replays of all journey sessions are available on a special playlist on our YouTube channel. These replays will remain accessible until the end of September, when the next free journey will be preparing to begin. So there’s plenty of time to revisit a technique, catch up if you missed a day, or invite a friend to join from the very beginning. No experience? No problem! The journey is designed for beginners; all you need is yarn, a set of 4 mm double-pointed needles, and a heart open to wonder.

Each day of the journey wove together fairy tales, personal magical rituals, and step‑by‑step instruction:

  • Day 1: cast on and step through the gate as we meet the Bear in the Forest

  • Day 2: find your sacred rhythm while knitting the cuff and going further into the Fairy Tale Realm

  • Day 3: turn the heel and reflect on thresholds through a tale of Tam Lin

  • Day 4: shape the gusset and explore intention in the fairy tale realm of the Old Woman in the Woods

Day 5: finish the toe and seal your socks with a personal symbol and the short story of Return to the Forest Gates.

A Blessing for Your Journey

As a thank‑you gift for all who participated in the journey between Aug 11 and 15, I created a Blessing Card. Remember to download it from the link in your email, print it and slip it into your knitting bag, or photograph it beside your socks. It’s a small charm to remind you that every stitch carries story and intention. If you share it on Instagram or Telegram, tag @the_roseandthebee so we can celebrate with you.

Last Chance for the Giveaway

If you’re reading this before Sunday, August 24, there’s still time to join our giveaway! Post a photo of your Forest Gate Socks—finished or in progress—on Instagram or Telegram with the hashtag #ForestGateSocks by 12 noon Central. One traveler will win a pair of tiny bee‑and‑honeycomb stitch markers and the Forest Paths sock pattern. We’ll announce the winner on Sunday afternoon, so keep an eye on your messages.

Stay Connected – Join the Circle

The Forest Gate journey is just the beginning. In our closing email, I hinted at more adventures: a free five‑day wet‑felting journey coming this autumn and a Moonlit Shawl & the Fairy Tale of the Seal‑Wife masterclass later on. To make sure you don’t miss invitations or registration details, sign up for our email list if you haven’t already. The sign‑up form on our Forest Gate page is still open—we respect your inbox and only send what you ask for. You’re also warmly invited to join the Member Group chats on our website, where we can chat, share seasonal rituals, fiber‑arts tips, and quiet magic. As one of our first journey adventurers, you are invited to be a Founding Member, and your membership is free of charge. Your presence makes our circle richer.

Keep Sharing the Magic

The Forest Gate will close when September ends. Until then, remember to share the adventure with friends, revisit the videos, finish your socks, and share your moments of magic with our circle on our website or on Instagram and Telegram. Every stitch you make and every story you tell keeps this ancient art alive and magic shining brightly. Thank you for traveling with me. I can’t wait for us to step into the next fairy tale realm together.

May your socks carry you to places your heart sings of in your dreams.

See you soon where Fairy Tales meet Fiber Threads!
